AWI milice forever

Un rapide post pour vous tenir au courant de l'avancer de mon armee americaine. J'ai fini 6 nouveau milicien. Cette fois ce sont des gens du sud (quand j'ai passe commande il n'y avait pas les 3 pack de milicien du nord du coup j'en ai pris un du sud). Le schema de couleur est un peu plus clair que d'habitude mais mixer avec les autres figs, ils ne seront pas vraiment distinguable.

Fast post just to keep you inform of my progress for my american army. I just finished 6 new militia members. They are from the south ( there was not enough blister available for the north when I passed order so I take one from the south). Color are little bit more light but mix with the other, nobody will distinguish them.

AWI French troop experiment

Bonjour tout le monde.
Aujourd'hui j'ai un peu change de peinture et j'ai arrete la milice pour faire un test sur les troupes francaises.
Je suis pas forcement sur du résultat et de l’historicité de la peinture. Je vous propose de regarder la figs sous tous les angles et de me faire parvenir vos commentaires. Peindre le blanc c'est quand même assez pénible.

Today let's change a little bit. No more militia but a painting test with the french troop I have.
 I don't know if the result is that great and if it is correct historically. So take a look to the mini and let me know what you think. Painting the white is really difficult!!!!!

AWI milice americaine

Un petit passage sur le blog pour vous montrez la progression de ces derniers jours.
Je suis toujours sur la milice americaine et je n'avance pas tres vite, en sachant que je n'ai toujours pas achete ce qu'il me faut pour tenter d'ameliorer mes socles. Donc pour l'instant j'ai des figs sans soclage, et je vois deja le probleme quand il vas falloir tout faire d'un coup.
Bon arretons de se plaindre et voici les 6 nouvelles recrues qui rejoignent les rangs de l'armee.

I'm back to the blog to show you how I'm working on my AWI army.
I'm still working on the militia and I have to admit I'm not fast enough and way behind my plan. I still don't have anything to try a new base technic so I will have plenty of minis wihout base and I will have to do everything at ones.
Stop complaining and here the 6 new guy ready for action:

AWI milice americaine part 2

Et on continue sur la lance de la milice continentale avec 6 nouveaux milicien en position de marche avec le fusil sur l’épaule. La peinture avance bien, c'est juste que j'ai peur du manque de variété a la fin parce que les couleurs sont un peu répétitifs. On verra bien a la fin.
Sinon la boite plastique pour les réguliers américain vient de sortir, 32$ pour 38 miniatures, imbattable pour le rapport qualité prix. La commande sera passe des que j aurais fini ce que j ai déjà commande.

Still working on the american militia with 6 new guys in walking position with rifle on shoulder. Painting is working well, I just affraid that at the end, the total will lack of variety because I'm limited to the choise of color. Let see at the end.
I saw that the plastic box for regular infantery is out, 32$ for 38 figs, nice ratio price/number. I will order it as soon as I'm done with what I have.

AWI milice americaine

Bon voila avec un peu de courage on fini par avancer dans le projet AWI. Donc après les riflemen et les Lee's legion, je passe sur la milice continentale. Pour commencer 6 figs de milice du nord en position de tir. La peinture est faite sur le même schéma que les riflemen. Pour l instant je n'ai pas fait les socles parce que je suis en train de voir comment améliorer la finissions en suivant les conseils du WAB forum. Donc cette partie est en attente.

So with more courage I made my way back to the painting to finish more minis for AWI. After the riflemen and the Lee's legion group, I started the american militia. Here we have 6 minis of nothern militia in firing position. The painting is similar to the riflemen. For now I did not touch the bases because I'm in the process to improve my technic according to several comment from the WAB forum, so wait and see.

AWI Lee's legion

Et une autre unite de termine aujourd'hui. J'ai fini mes 24 figs de lee's legion, 18 figs de troupe et 6 de commandement.
Pour commencer les figs de commandement. Un peu decu il n'y a pas de porte drapeau dans le lot. Histoire de varier les plaisirs, deux persos ont des pantalons blanc.

And a new unit done today for AWI. I have now 24 minis of Lee's legion with 18 troops and 6 commands. To start, pictures of the command squad. A bit disapointed because there is no man with flag. As you will notice, two guys have white pants.

Et pour finir la photo de famille. Maintenant je passe sur les troupes de milice classique du nord.
